Development of a natural speech system for automated triage, project title “MedLine”. (digital technology)
MedLine is the world’s first fully automated medical help-line. Using speech-recognition and natural speech, the system hears and understands a patient’s complaints in order to enquire using a medical Q&A database (triage, intoxication and diagnose). Artificial intelligence algorithm is used to determine the next question. The conclusion of the call can be either a referral to a doctor after correct asssesment of the urgency, or medical advise for less urgent conditions.
Stage: A prototype has been developed, showing a demo of the product. Technology Readiness Level (TRL) = 5.
